NYE

With NYE just around the corner, I have been scouring the online shops in search of a great dress for the occasion.  Instead of actually looking at something that might be remotely attainable, I find myself daydreaming over the Balmain Resort 2013 collection that I wrote about here and here.  

I could be ecstatic (duh) with any of these outfits as my NYE getup!

New in:

Well soon to be new in, I should say.  I was lucky enough to scoop up the last pair of these amazing earrings I have been coveting from the Balmain Resort 2013 collection.  I pre-ordered them from Luisaviaroma.com, a site that has proven to be reliable and fair priced, especially with European brands. (Tip: You'll find Isabel Marant online for significantly less than what you would pay for in-store in Toronto).  While the price was still a bit steep, they are Balmain after all, and I have been looking for a new pair of silver hoops for a long time.  I think these will do just fine!

It will be a glorious day once these arrive at my doorstep!

Sweater Weather

Well, tis almost the season! Winter is upon us!

So, expensive doesn't always mean nicest! I bought this sweater from Forever 21 found here for a whopping $27.80.  It really reminds me of Jonathan Saunder's waffle sweaters but for a fraction of the price!

Worn here with my Tod's patent leather green loafers... I thought they were black when I purchased them... Apparently not but I still like them.

My attempt at doing my own nails didn't yield the most amazing result, but I was quite proud of myself nonetheless!

How To Wear: Neon

My way:

Neon can definitely be a little bit intimidating, so if you don't think you can rock it like Anna Dello Russo or Mira Duma, fear not.  It can still be worn in a simpler way that anyone can pull off.  This angora sweater I purchased from H&M for about $70.00 which is pretty fair if you don't want to spend a lot of money on something that can be considered more of a trendy piece!

The HI-LOW Holiday Party Options!

The holiday season can be a real money drainer! Even with all the sales going on, it seems like there is so much temptation to spend money on yourself in addition to shopping for gifts for others! There are also holiday parties to consider! Work parties or parties your friends are throwing will leave you panicking for something to wear.  Consider both of these options that would look super cute with a flippy, leather skirt, opaque panty hose and black booties.

The Countdown

The countdown to Winter is on! But that didn't stop it from being super mild out the last few days! Yahoo! I will take as many days like this as I can get!  These photos were actually taken a few weeks ago during another warm spell! Love my plaid scarf I bought about a month ago at H&M - It's the perfect addition to an all black outfit. Love it!
